Julie Sill, Jason McConnell and Kari Larson
Kari Larson and Julie Sill, co-owners of Common Grounds, reopened the brewery formerly known as the Ozark Brewing Co. in November, 2004 and named it Hog Haus Brewing Company (pronounced house). Our talented chefs have created a fresh, new menu, with something for everyone's dining preferences.

The brewing is ongoing. Hog Haus Brewing Company has a complete bar with domestic and imported beer on tap as well. The Hog Haus sells its own beer-to-go in Growlers (1/2 gallon jars), which is the only place in Fayetteville that sells beer-to-go on Sundays.

Executive Chef Eric Lea returned to Hog Haus after working as a sous chef at the Ozark Brewing Company thirteen years ago. Lea has served as the executive sous chef at James at the Mill, executive chef of the Philbrook Museum of Art and chef departie of fine dining at Miami’s and South Beach’s Ritz Carlton resorts. He has also worked in Dallas both at the famous Mansion on Turtle Creek and the 5-diamond-rated Abacus, a continental cuisine restaurant. He has prepared cuisine ranging from Texan pulled duck tamales to ocean fresh sushi to mid-Western classics like toasted macaroni and cheese craved by South Beach regulars.

The brewery is visible from both floors.New taps and beer lines have been upgraded to provide colder beer. Even a bathroom was added upstairs. "If all goes as planned, we will be adding on a second story outdoor beer garden in the future," says Sill.

As co-owners of the popular eight-year old Common Grounds on Dickson Street, Larson and Sill are not newcomers to the restaurant business and implement their management and service skills at the Hog Haus Brewing Company. And yes, they run both restaurants.

"This facility is a landmark and is the only operating brewery in the Northwest Arkansas area. It has a fantastic location at the corner of Dickson and West Streets. The architecture is beautiful inside and out. The brewery itself is top notch and it sports two full kitchens. All that combined with talented chefs, brewmaster, co-owners Julie Sill and myself, we feel it will brings something great to the area," says Kari Larson.
